Nu-Way Cleaners

On or about July 14 I left 4 pieces of dry cleaning at NuWay. $19.99 correct. Picked up on July 26th. First they attempted to charge me an additional $1.75 - never clear what that was for. Then I looked and my suit buttons all had nicks in them - destroyed. I asked to speak to the owner. Cathy, another clerk, came out. She RUDLEY began to say they were like that when I dropped it off. Absolutely not. Then she said she could not do anything about it, the owner was out and would be back on Monday. I went in this morning, 7/30/12, to ask for the buttons to be replaced. In over 30 years regularly having clothes cleaned at various businesses, this has NEVER happened before. The owner was there and before I could begin to ask, she curtly stated that damage happens over time, she was not responsible, and there was nothing she would be willing to do. Over nine buttons she not only has lost my business, which apparently she does not need, I will post this in every method I can in order to let people know the kind of ethics this business has.
