I honestly wish I could give this pharmacy zero stars. The lady manager of the pharmacy, Amber doesn't know how to do her job. It's a pharmacy, it's sole purpose is to house medications and offer customer service. Today is Friday. Wednesday I went in to pick up my kids prescriptions and am told they had one quantity left. Ok, well I got the one for my son filled and was told they would order more stock and it would be there at 8am sharp in the morning. Please keep in mind, the horrid condition we're dealing with needs to be treated in a time sensitive manner or it will GET WORSE. Irritated, I confirmed the truck would be there and left. I called at 8:45am the next morning (now it's Thursday) to make sure the prescription was there and ready. "The truck didn't come in" was the response I got. So I went ahead and filled my blood pressure pills while I was on the phone because there was no way I was going to be amicable about it now. After expressing my irritation and frustration, I was told it will be there the following morning. Nowhere else has the medication in stock either. It's negative 200 degrees in Asheville, and blowing snow periodically, but at this point.. I would've thrown on boots and walked myself to Airport Rd to NOT have to deal with this Walgreens another minute. Lets fast forward to right this second. My husband just left the pharmacy, walked in the door with NO MEDICATION. Because apparently the drug manufacturer was going out of business or "low in stock." So she overnighted another brand.. YESTERDAY.. and it will be here today at 12. Yeah right. So basically she knew all of that yesterday and took it upon herself to order another brand and overnight it without even calling and letting me know. I don't even know what to do with this. Amber was RUDE. And needs some serious training on how to correctly perform her job duties like maybe keeping the place stocked with medicine people need and how to have basic human communication skills with a decent attitude. We really like Heather who works in the pharmacy and she is the ONLY reason we even walk into that Walgreens, and she was explaining the situation to my husband- because I guess the head pharmacist who kept promising us our prescription for days was scared to tell us it wasn't there. My husband stepped aside and said to Amber, "are you sure it's going to be here? We NEED this.. for our kids, we've been waiting three days!!" She had the audacity to get snappy and say "it hasn't been three days and yes, it's coming!" Well, yes Amber, it HAS been three days. I'm sure your horrible skills at keeping track of time and medicine supply didn't help you figure that one out. I'm so fed up with this pharmacy. Heather is the only good thing that place has going for it. This isn't the first issue I've had there, but it's the last.
