My daughter took her size 2 prom dress to Solara's to place on consignment. At the time she dropped it off there was nothing wrong with it. It had been professionally cleaned and bagged. She got a call a week later to come pick up her dress, telling her it was "broken". They handed her the dress wadded up in a plastic bag, with the zipper completely busted out of it. Anyone can see that someone MUCH LARGER than a size 2 tried the dress on and tried to force it to zip. The store stated it was not their fault, and that she was responsible for the dress. So, we are left with a very expensive fix, and not even an apology from that place. If you drop off your items, never do it on consignment. I was in the resale clothing business and this was not the way to treat your customers. Especially repeat customers who have been faithful.
