Tailrace Marina

Late this summer, construction crews commissioned by Tailrace to clear cut the island directly behind my home cut one of my living trees growing off of my property in half and have effectively killed the tree. As if to add insult to injury- some of the logs they cleared were left to float in the water and they have washed up against the now dead tree- it is a mess back there. I was so grateful when Ineke and Bob- the owners, contacted me and agreed to take a look at the damage and the debris washed up onto my property. They looked it over, and when I asked if they could please have the same crews - crews that clear cut the land across from mine causing the debris to wash up, simply come and haul the mess they made away from my land, Bob became indignant. He heatedly pointed around and told me I was lucky he had not sought legal action because the tree they cut in half was touching his property. I think at this point I had to laugh- this was way beyond how I thought that conversation would go...Wow... I just asked them to clean up the mess they made and they both whipped out phones and started snapping photos of everything- my guess is to prevent some legal trouble? This they did from my property...after I told them I wasn't OK with that. I have had an awesome stay in Riverfront and know plenty of good neighbors. These are not that kind...sad.
