It's been years ago but I will add my .02 about this company, as I am surprised they are still in business. I put $2,000 cash down on a '98 Z34 Monte Carlo. The engine quit because the lower intake cracked (Common problem on the 3.8). I canceled the insurance on the car, as it wasn't drivable. Insurance company notified them and I received a call from them threating to repo. Told the guy the car wasn't drivable, it wasn't going anywhere and that I would continue to make payments. Guy told me he couldn't do that, no insurance, they would come and get it. Go ahead, I told him. Repo guy shows up at 2am,obviously he's uneasy at first when I walked out of my house but he relaxes once I tell him my experience and that I wasn't upset he was picking the car up. He admitted that he normally picks up 1-2 cars a week from people with the same story, car quits on them and he is sent to pick it up.
If you have to buy from a buy here/pay here lot I would recommend looking elsewhere, there are better options. I should add that when I had the Monte Carlo, it would blow pieces of broken glass out when using the defrost and I had mentioned this to the repo guy. He said that Saul's, like alot of used car places, buys wrecked cars from auctions and fixes them to sale. I would *strongly* recommend to anyone buying a used car, spend the $40 to run a Carfax. Do not trust the one the dealer hands you (if they offer it). This way you will have firsthand proof of what kind of life the car has had
