PLUS Urgent Care, a service of RiverCrest Medical Park (Granite Falls)

If I could give this Urgent Care a 1/2 star I would. I went to the Urgent Care and was "evaluated" by a Angela Parker, NP (Nurse Practitioner). She spent a total of 90 seconds with me and listened to my lungs through a thick sweatshirt and T-Shirt. I am a nurse myself and can tell you that it is not possible to hear lungs clearly through this type of clothing. She cut me off while trying to tell her about my symptoms and gave me the most basic medication which DID NOTHING for my sickness. I ended up calling back twice to ask for an alternate antibiotic and if I could get cough syrup called in and was told to use OTC Delsym because it was just as good. I ended up calling the RISK manager at Caldwell Memorial Hospital because my phone calls to the clinic regarding no improvement were not returned. I was talked into going back in 4 days later by the office manager to see another Nurse Practitioner who was RUDER than the 1st NP that I was evaluated by. She basically told me that Urgent Care was not where I needed to be evaluated at and that I should have went to my PCP. I would have went to my PCP if she had not been out of town for 10 days. When I told her my PCP was out of town she told me that I probably should have went to the ER and if no better in 48 hours I should go to the ER just like the original NP I saw 4 days earlier had recommended. She gave me 5 more days of Prednisone and a small amount of cough syrup and sent me on my way. I will never return to this Urgent Care. I will drive the 20 minutes across town to see FAST MED versus this Urgent Care which is 2 minutes from my house.
