When I think soul food and low country, I think flavor! I think spicy! This was the BLANDEST meal! I got the Shrimp Creole with rice. The creole sauce was flavorless. Just kind of like a red sauce with onions thrown in. The seasoned rice was salty. That seemed to be the only seasoning used. Nothing about the dish was spicy. My boyfriend had the chicken tenders with sides of mashed potatoes and. mac and cheese. You can't really mess that up. Nothing about his dish was bad, but it was very mediocre. Well, the gravy was pretty good on the potatoes.
Service was okay, waited a little long for refills on empty drinks, and too many empty dishes and glasses were left on a very small 2 seater table.
