This is BY FAR the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. I've been to super busy McDonald's in New York that provide faster and friendlier service than the Waynesville McDonald's.
Exhibit A) EVERY TIME I walk inside, I stand at the counter for at least two minutes before anyone even says "hello" or "I'll be right there." Meanwhile, there are a bunch of employees standing around talking about their personal lives. When someone finally comes over, they are usually slovenly dressed, mumbling, and seemingly resentful about the fact that they had to stop their conversation to take my order.
Exhibit B) The Drive-Thru is equally ridiculous. Half the time I go through, I have to go park in the waiting space because they're out of fries. This is after having waiting 5-10 minutes in the drive through line already. How McDonald's ever runs out of fries is beyond me. There should literally always be fries cooking...ALWAYS. On at least two occasions that I can remember, I waited in the waiting space for 10 minutes before calling the store from my cell phone and reminding them that I was outside. Apparently they had forgotten about my food.
Exhibit C) EVERY TIME I order a large fry, I get a small or medium fry in a large fry container. They don't open up the large fry container fully before putting the fries in it, and so you only get about half the amount of fries that you should. EVERY TIME I order fries, I have to slightly squeeze the side of the fry container so that it opens up fully. Then all the fries fall the bottom of the container. There are so few fries that I often can even see any fries when looking at the container from head on. At this point, I then ask the staff member to please fill up the entirety of my large fry container. Of course, this is met with rolling eyes, huffing and puffing, etc...
