I rarely rate places low, but it calls for it on occasion. This particular store did a really poor job fitting me and my friends for tuxedos prior to a wedding.
First, let me say the lady that served us was extremely courteous and joy to speak with. The people skills were top notch. Unfortunately, she did a real poor job measuring us for the suits.
When I got there, she asked what I thought my sizes were. I've been measured plenty of times, but it had been the better part of a year for me. I told her what I estimated, and she proceeded to measure me. Every metric was several inches higher than I had ever been measured. I am a 42 regular for a coat (and I've since tried others on at a different place and am still a 42), but she assured me I was a 48 by measurement, even though I objected. I was told that a tux fits different than other suits. It was the same with the shirt, several sizes too big. The pants, at least 6-8 inches too much in the waist.
I was worried, but she assured me they were right. However, they also said the soonest they could get the tux was the day before the wedding. So, there was no option to exchange. I let her talk me into their measurements.
I snagged the tux on my way out of town for the wedding with no chance to try on or exchange and when I got there, it would have fit an NFL linebacker. Two of the men in the wedding could fit inside of my shirt, and the pants would not stay up, even if cinched to the tightest strap. It was the worst fitting I've ever had.
And, come to find out the groom was in the same boat. His tux came in two days beforehand, and she also fitted him. He did try his on, and they were able to get him a replacement in just the right time, but her measurements were way too big for him too. The other guys got measured at other Banks stores and were all fine.
