We are unfortunately locked into this cabin. I was excited to visit and stay for my birthday weekend until we found out what a nightmare this all is to book a cabin with them through Airbnb. On top of that the staff had horrible customer service and told us there is absolutely nothing they can do its all on Airbnb even though they are the host. I will never use Airbnb or recommend this rental company to anyone. I am pretty upset I have to spend my birthday weekend in this cabin and give this company money but even when you try to cancel 1 hr after booking a week in advance they still get to keep most of the money. I use to love booking through Airbnb but this experience has made it an absolute nightmare. Not to mention I had recommended this to my boyfriend who is booking and he is the one getting the worst end of it all on his very first time booking with this host through Airbnb. Usually hosts on Airbnb are so friendly and accommodating he did not realize it was a cabin rental company until they emailed him a lease agreement.
The host told us " we should have booked through them not airbnb", how were we to know we would run into all this why would you say that to a paying customer ? I typically used Airbnb instead of rental companies because the good hosts are so pleasant to work with and those hosts gave such an amazing experience I loved using Airbnb. I felt like this was a competition and blame game between the rental company and Airbnb which is the worse kind of service you can offer customers. If you have to say we should book through them not Airbnb then don't post your listing to Airbnb.
We had to get dog sitters due to the outrageous pets fees and now I have to spend my birthday weekend in a cabin that will feel nothing like home and has already been a bad experience and we haven't even arrived. I truly hope the cabin at least lives up to the pictures and it isn't an absolute complete disappointment.
