Best student/bohemian café in Raleigh. This is the sort of place that's getting hard to find in today's corporate manufactured world. You can smell the roasting coffee from a block away and its got that authentic funky atmosphere that franchises can't imitate. I've only been there in the mornings and its usually full with students bent over computers and an older crowd hanging out. Kind of a rambling layout that is larger than it looks when you first enter. The staff is always fast and seems happy. Coffee is excellent and they're roasting it fresh right up front by the entrance. Food is more than just pastries, some hot pockets and sandwiches, but not a full restaurant. Its too bad they put in a tall building across the street that puts this place in the shade, but there is some outdoor sidewalk seating.
