We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Biltmore. The house tour was fascinating, the gardens are on par with some botanical gardens we've seen, the grounds are vast, food and gift shops are much nicer than most. Our boys are 11 and 13 and they enjoyed themselves.
A couple of pointers: there are no public restrooms in the house so keep that in mind. Try to go off season because I can see where it would get very busy and people moved pretty slowly. If you're excited about the tour, consider doing a guided or behind the scenes tour!
